ISDS Crash Course

ISDS Crash Course

ISDS Crash Course is an intensive debating workshop for students between grades 9-11/12. We intend to introduce debating in the World Schools Debating Championship format and build essential debating skills at the intermediate level. We use a tailored curriculum combining games, lectures, and debates to hone young students’ speaking and communication skills, and knowledge of international affairs. Trainers in these workshops are among the best debaters in India and the world.

What will students learn from the Crash Course?

Students gain a complete understanding of the WSDC format and also some important intermediate skills including:

  • Models & Policies: How to generate a policy or a model that explains a step by step approach to solving a complex problem in real world terms
  • Argumentation: How to build consequential as well as principled arguments in debates
  • Rebuttal: The different kinds of rebuttal, identifying the different parts of an argument for strategic rebuttal
