ISDS Budding Speakers’ Launchpad is a three-day introductory public speaking workshop for students between grades 5-7. We use a tailored curriculum combining games, lectures, and speech practice to hone young students’ speaking and communication skills, knowledge and confidence. Trainers in these workshops are among the best debaters in India and the world.


What will students learn from Budding Speaker Launchpad?

Over the course of three days, students will gain an understanding of the central elements of speaking in public, including:

  • Content: Students will learn how to generate thoughtful ideas on a topic within short durations of time
  • Strategy: Students will be taught how to creating speeches with a logical flow to content
  • Style: Students get to understand the importance of effective use of language and tone, and non verbal delivery methods

  • Learn to speak in public with confidence: Students will learn a number of skills that prepare them to communicate effectively, especially in public settings. And then we should say: This could potentially launch them into the world of public speaking and debate competitions, but more importantly, it will teach them crucial life skills of organisation, verbal and written communication, idea generation and problem solving, and persuasion
  • Learn from an evidence based curriculum: Our curriculum has been drafted and developed by some of India and the world’s best debaters and coaches, and incorporate international best practices
