April 30, 2023 – ISDS fielded 4 teams from various schools in India to compete in the ICYD 2023 Finals Day held at Cambridge. Hitishaa Goyal (15) and Akhilesh Palakodeti (14) won the Championship! In addition, Uday Vir Khosla and Amaira Kapoor finished as Runners up in the Open Grand Final. Of our other two teams, Shivansh Gupta and Simran Uberoi emerged as the ESL (English as a Second Language) Champions, and Adyant Gupta and Rafa Chari finished as ESL Grand Finalists. Hitshaa also was adjudged second best speaker, and best ESL speaker at ICYD, and Uday was adjudged 5th best speaker. Akhilesh was the best novice speaker at the competition.
