ISDS played a formative role in my growth as a debater. It introduced me to a community of clever and kind people who I’m lucky to count as my friends and mentors. On the other hand, debating as an activity has helped me become better at expressing myself and critically assessing problems. These are skills that have had immense value since they’re transferable to my academic pursuits as well.
